چکیده

Improving the Modeling of Hydrogen Solubility in Heavy Oil Cuts Using an Augmented Grayson Streed (AGS) Approach — The Grayson Streed (GS) method [Grayson H.G. and Streed C.W. (1963) 6th World Petroleum Congress, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 19-26 June, pp. 169-181] is often used by the industry for calculating hydrogen solubility in petroleum fluids. However, its accuracy becomes very bad when very heavy fluids are considered. An improvement is proposed in this work, based on a Flory-augmented activity coefficient model. Hydrogen solubilities in n-alkanes from n-C7 up to n-C36 have been investigated and a decreasing Henry constant with molecular weight is evidenced. Constructing a Factor Augmented VAR Model to Analyze Transmission of Oil and Monetary Shocks to Iranian Economy

There is a growing attention to models which contain a broader set of economic data. In recent decade, introduction of Factor Augmented VAR models through augmentation of traditional VAR models with unobservable “factors” has made a new route to econometric modeling. In spite of the growing number of international papers and researches which have used FAVAR approach to modeling policy shocks to...

One-Dimensional Electrolyzer Modeling and System Sizing for Solar Hydrogen Production: an Economic Approach

In this paper, a solar based hydrogen production in the city of Tehran, the capital of Iran is simulated and the cost of produced hydrogen is evaluated. Local solar power profile is obtained using TRNSYS software for a typical parking station in Tehran. The generated electricity is used to supply power to a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyzer for hydrogen production. Dynamic nature of s...

Artificial Intelligent Modeling and Optimizing of an Industrial Hydrocracker Plant

The main objective of this study is the modelling and optimization of an industrial Hydrocracker Unit (HU) by means of Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) model. In this case, some data were collected from an industrial hydrocracker plant. Inputs of an ANFIS include flow rate of fresh feed and recycle hydrogen, temperature of reactors, mole percentage of H2 and H2S, feed flow rate and...

Scenario-based modeling for multiple allocation hub location problem under disruption risk: multiple cuts Benders decomposition approach

The hub location problem arises in a variety of domains such as transportation and telecommunication systems. In many real-world situations, hub facilities are subject to disruption. This paper deals with the multiple allocation hub location problem in the presence of facilities failure. To model the problem, a two-stage stochastic formulation is developed. In the proposed model, the number of ...

Design of Oil Refineries Hydrogen Network Using Process Integration Principles

This paper describes the application of process integration principles to the design of oil refineries hydrogen network. In this regard, a design hierarchy as well as heuristics and required guidelines are proposed. The recommended rules compensate lack of procedure to the design and make the design process easier. The guiding principles of the design are based upon pinch technology and ext...
